Associate Professor of Art History, St. Olaf College

I teach introductory courses in Art History and upper-level courses in medieval and Renaissance art, including a January interim course in Florence. I also teach Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies every few years.

I am currently at work on a project entitled “St. Bonaventure’s Theology of Light and Franciscan Stained Glass in Medieval Tuscany and Umbria,” which will be the first book-length study of Italian medieval stained glass in English. I’ve also published a series of articles on the revival of medieval stained glass in nineteenth-century Florence.

I have been teaching at St. Olaf since the fall of 2000, and I love it.  I live in Minneapolis with my husband, my 15-year old stepson, and my 6-year old son.
